What happened to VIELÄ?

We’re still here! In a way. We just had a bit of a transformation. VIELÄ Jewelry is now Life Artfully Told.

From the beginning, VIELÄ was a way for us to merge the beauty of art and nature. Fueled by a passion for discovery, we listened as we grew the business. We heard your personal stories. Lots of beautiful stories.

So often, you would tell us how one of our pieces reminded you of a special memory. You would mention the shape of a lilac bloom, the lines of beach grass, or the sprig of cypress needles. Suddenly we were treated to the details of a story about collecting wildflowers with siblings, meaningful time spent with a friend living with illness, or hiking through the evergreens. These were always lovely and intimate moments for us.

And as you shared your reflections, we took some time to reflect on our business. The mission of this business—this endeavor—has always been about sharing the beauty in the connections we have to nature and each other. It began with jewelry, and over the years, as we reflected, we arrived at some new ideas.

Moments of vulnerability and honest connection make moving stories. You showed us that, and we realized we had more to say that couldn’t be said with jewelry alone. These expressions became our new products: cards, ornaments, keepsakes and more.

And just as our you told us your stories clearly and directly, we could do the same. Our ongoing story—our mission—became our new name: Life Artfully Told.

We tend to this endeavor so that it may continue to meaningfully connect our lives, our stories and that which we hold most precious. As you explore our new products, we hope that you will find words and personal symbols of connection. For example, the lilac is one of the first blooms in spring, following the melting snow. It is a tiny, fragrant symbol of first love, beauty and possibility. We feel it whispers something like “it’s always spring when I love you.” What does it say to you?

What a journey this will be.

Each month, we will share a short story from our new “Seasons Beyond” blog that you can share and download. We’re also working on a special creative collaboration to be revealed soon.
